Description

Nidek MP 3 Microperimeter offers the possibility of specifically examining the still-existing function of morphologically conspicuous retinal areas. During microperimetry, the device’s automatic retina tracking ensures that the presented test stimuli are projected precisely onto the selected points of the patient’s retina. Continuous retina observation also ensures repeated testing on the same retinal site.

The perimetry results are then overlaid with the images from the color fundus camera. The selective agreement of functional and morphological examinations creates the conditions for well-founded diagnoses and therapeutic decisions. The easy and uncomplicated operation of the Nidek MP 3 makes the examination with the microperimeter delegable. The data can be viewed stationary or transferred to a data network.

Nidek MP 3 Microperimeter Features:

  • Large measuring range (0 to 34 dB).
  • Auto tracking and Auto alignment.
  • Feedback research for visual rehabilitation.
  • High-resolution nonmydriatic fundus camera.
  • Scotopic microperimetry (option).
  • Easy to combine with the Nidek RS-3000 Advance 2 OCT for better diagnostics.
  • Microperimetry with a wide measurement range
  • Fixation test with a precise tracking system
  • High-resolution non-mydriatic fundus camera

Easy Image Acquisition for Easy Follow-up.

Microperimetry, 12-megapixel color fundus image, fixation analysis, and visual rehabilitation; The 12-megapixel fundus camera in the MP-3 acquires high-resolution retinal pathology images.

Nidek MP 3 is the new microperimeter developed by Nidek, which replaces and innovates the previous model MP-1, the first product in the world to propose this technology.

Microperimetry is a subjective, non-invasive diagnostic test used to determine the retinal function and provides important information to complete morphological tests.

Nidek MP 3 is a tool that integrates the two analyses, functional and morphological, and allows a precise correlation between the two.

More Features details:

  • The Nidek MP 3 has a wider range of stimulus intensity, from 0 to 34 dB, compared to the MP-1. The MP-3 measures perimetric threshold values, even for normal eyes. A maximum stimulus luminance of 10,000 asb* allows evaluation of low sensitivity.
  • Auto tracking and auto-alignment functions provide more accurate measurements increasing patient and operator comfort and efficiency. These functions allow easy follow-up and reduce variations between examiners, resulting in well-aligned follow-up exams.
  • The MP-3 can measure fixation and determine the preferred retinal locus simply by having the patient fixate on a target. Any change in fixation can be compared pre- and post-treatment because the patient’s eye is constantly tracked during microperimetry. This test evaluates fixation in patients with central visual field defects and determines whether fixation improved after treatment.
  • The 12-megapixel fundus camera in the MP-3 acquires high-resolution retinal pathology images and allows easy image acquisition.
  • Various OCT modalities captured by NIDEK RS-3000 Advance can be registered with microperimetry.

Precise tracking system

The Nidek MP 3 can measure fixation and determine the preferred retinal locus simply by having the patient fixate on a target Constant tracking of the eye during microperimetry allows evaluation of fixation in patients with central visual field defects and determines whether fixation improves after treatment.
